WHEN

April 30 - May 2, 2025

Do you consider feeding your clients to be a necessary chore, or a powerful therapeutic intervention?

Do most of your clients sail through the first two weeks of treatment with stable moods and behavior, or do many of them blow out of treatment AMA? Do your clients graduate from your program knowing how to cook and feed themselves nutrient-dense, pro-recovery, brain optimizing meals, or will most of them revert back to the crap foods that helped make them ill in the first place?  Have you perhaps found in your own personal lives that eating fresh, high-protein, nutrient dense foods have given you more stable moods, sharper cognition, better energy and perhaps even helped you lose those unwanted pounds?

Would you like this for your clients as well?

Powerful Nutritional Strategies for Effective Addiction Treatment & Sustained Recovery

Why Nutrition is the Missing Link to Effective Treatment

Traditional mental health and addiction treatment often overlook a critical factor—brain chemistry imbalance caused by nutrient deficiencies. When the brain isn’t properly nourished, people struggle with mood swings, cravings, anxiety, and relapse risk—even when they’re doing “all the right things.” Scientific research over the past 100 years, and continuing today, has proven over and over again which specific nutrients, available in good quality food, the brain actually requires to function optimally. It has also clearly demonstrated which psychiatric symptoms result from a deficiency of these nutrients.

Most clients in early recovery are seriously deficient in many of these nutrients! These deficiencies are the underlying cause of many of the symptoms of depression, anxiety, insomnia and cravings our clients experience – and which often lead them to relapse. While medication can sometimes help to alleviate some of this distress, they don’t provide the brain with the nutrients necessary to repair itself, and optimally fuel a successful recovery journey.

At the Feed the Recovering Brain Summit (www.feedtherecoveringbrain.com), and through courses from  Academy for Addiction & Mental Health Nutrition,(www.aminoacidtherapy.com)  we teach how simple, targeted nutrition strategies can help restore brain function, reduce cravings, and support long-term emotional balance. And you don’t need to be a nutritionist to apply these principles!

Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition

Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition

The Academy provides cutting-edge, in-depth, on-line and live education and consultation services for the purpose of thoroughly training mental health and addiction treatment professionals and volunteers in the skills necessary to identify and effectively address the biochemical aspects of client symptoms through nutrient interventions.

We teach clinicians, treatment providers, and health/recovery coaches how to reduce relapse and improve the quality of recovery by using amino acid and nutrient therapy, along with food and diet, to effectively address the biochemical aspects of addiction and mood/behavioral disorders. Thus, we provide a stable foundation for the recovery journey. We also welcome anyone interested in learning this powerful, life-transforming information.

Eating Protein Saves Lives

Educating both people in recovery and treatment providers that optimally feeding the recovering brain by eating protein throughout the day is crucial to reducing cravings, relapse and overdose deaths, as well as to supporting full engagement in a recovery journey.
